After 20 Minutes, I had enough ore for 170 durasteel bars. =\Ĭlick to expand.Yes, same for me, though I just tested that out and visited a mutated planet to get durasteel. The alternative is to tear down the tower and move everything back into a horizontal formation. I'm actually here to dig through old posts and see what optimizations other people recommend, but thought I'd drop by the thread. I'm guessing it's the sprinklers being closer together, but either way, it's a bit frustrating. I thought that'd help, but now the middle areas are super laggy. This time, I have a stairwell with a room on each side for each floor, making more of a tower. Last time, I had 3 floors, and spread out the farm fairly far horizontally as a result. for some odd reason, this layout is causing major lag. I'm probably going to be purchasing the rest now that the farm is sufficiently up and running, but. And yeah, any star can generate planets that are of a lower tier, such as a frozen star having a jungle planet, I was mostly referring to the type of planet that starts appearing around that type of star. Neither of which will grant any durasteel. The slow part is mostly that all my serious work is on max tier areas, such as planets around fiery stars and the vaults. (Bug, but a long standing one.) Still, at least I actually enjoy raiding the vaults for ancient essence. Of course, the farm won't work until after I have a few hundred more durasteel, and also finish terraforming the planet, because apparently firestorms happen indoors, too. My one plan that might work, I think, is the abundance of pixels you can get via farming and being a landlord. All this is just the beginning, when you start including things like capture pods (3 each), pet tethers (1 each, for "guard dogs/monsters"), defense turrets (5 each), durasteel furniture for town guards (I miss my impervium, though), composite rails, the chunk I'll need when I get around to messing with mechs again, etc. I've finally finished with all the ship lockers I need, just in time to realize I could have used pixels if I didn't use the racial version. So, is there a better way to get large amounts of durasteel? I need 5 per sprinkler, and my farm will have one sprinkler's worth of space for each crop type, so. That means it costs 10,000 pixels for a sprinkler. I've also seen I could buy some at Ursa Miner. I know I've always had better luck mining in the lower levels of the planet, usually just one step above the core (which I avoid due to the slow mining times). ![]() In the former, you'll also find ore in chests and crates and such. I know you can find them on both irradiated and frozen planets of all types. So, my thought was, why not ask how the rest of you get that much durasteel? Solarium is far more common, and you can get plenty of stuff like aegisalt and violium at that point, but not durasteel. So, it's my 5th (or so) time playing through the game, and I'm getting kinda tired of durasteel being needed for so many things in the end-game.
